Timberline Buildings is hiring a Construction Draftsman
in Pennsylvania to join our Design Team in Sacramento, PA. This is your opportunity to bring your hands-on construction experience into the office and put it to work, producing precise, build-ready drawings and material take-offs for post-frame barns, garages, workshops, and custom structures.
The ideal candidate applies their skills within our established systems and also contributes to the ongoing development of improved processes in preparing drawings and take-offs for a variety of sold and pre-construction projects. Day to Day
Construction Draftsman – Responsibilities
- Produce construction drawings and designs primarily for post-frame buildings, with some conventional construction projects as well
- Prepare accurate material take-offs for sold and pre-construction projects
- Work within Timberline’s established drafting and documentation systems
- Collaborate with the sales team to translate customer specifications into complete, build-ready plan sets
- Coordinate with project managers and field crews to resolve plan questions and design changes
- Assist with permit packages and code-related drawing requirements as needed
- Contribute to the ongoing development of improved drafting processes, templates, and standard details
What We’re Looking For
Skills & Qualifications
Required
Minimum 3 years of construction experience — field or office
Required
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills — you’ll work daily with sales, PMs, and field crews
Required
Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to accuracy
Preferred
Post-frame construction experience — helpful, but not required; we’re willing to train the right person
Character
A serious aptitude for learning and continuous improvement — this is a role that grows with you.

Compensation
